James A. Schardt, M.S.E. CSM,
Founder and Owner
Mr. Schardt is a generalist who brings 30 years of experience in
complex systems, software engineering methodologies, change management,
business engineering, OO Design, and team facilitation. He applies
these skills when working with Enterprises that are integrating
business and information assets to meet the agile demands of the
Information Age.
James has provided system development mentoring support to Hospitality,
Insurance, Medical, Finance, and Aerospace industries. Principle
responsible for developing and delivering new business products,
software development frameworks, new methodologies, and course content.
Managed major research and development programs, invented new systems
methods, and developed "intelligent" information access systems.
Authored unique dropout removal software tools for video restoration.
Jim has been working to improve software development since 1989 when
he worked with Jim Rumbaugh testing the OMT notation and methodology.
During the 1990's Mr. Schardt developed a unique modeling oriented
approach to Data Warehouse (now Business Intelligence) requirements,
and tested ideas for more risk-driven approaches to software
development. In 2003 he co-authored first UML2 book for practitioners
-- "UML 2 for Dummies". In 2009 to further improve software development practices for all Jim became a Certified Scrum Master as well as launching the Risk Oriented Software Development Initiative.
